Camera can be launched by swiping upwards from the bottom right and corner of the lock screen of S20 Ultra. The native camera app is well equipped which gives you lots of shooting options to work with it.     It will launch in the standard Photo mode that find you to use for the majority of your shots.

On the bottom of the display, you will see zooming options which is used for moving between the different lenses that Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra offers. These lenses are represented by tree icons. The three trees for the widest angle lens. The two trees are for the standard lens and single tree for the zoom lens. Users can also zoom in and out by pinching to zoom on the scene. While zooming,  you will see a number of quick options to jump over various settings that includes 0.5x,1.0x,2.0x,4.0x,10x,30x and 100x.  Pinch in or out to achieve the desired setting.

You can also see the option to switch off or on the automatic scene optimiser. It uses artificial intelligence to judge the scene in front of it to make adjustments as needed.

There are number of other options displayed at the top of the screen.  The cog icon in it can be tapped for accessing a main menu to make more extensive changes including the video size and resolution. There's also a flash icon, a timer option, a ratio option(includes option to turn on 108MP shooting) , a photo motion option and a magic icon that is used to add filters to images.

The 108MP shoot is included by default because Samsung Galaxy s20 ultra outputs images at 12MP.

After you are ready to take a shot you can either press the volume up and down physical button or press the virtual shutter button displayed in the screen. If you shake while taking shots or the devices detects blur image, a message will displayed suggesting you might to take the shot again. Similar kind of message will be shown if the phone detects something has covered the lens.

With the bottom of the screen ,you can see a number of other shooting mode options which you can choose from. The left of photo mode is Single Take. This is interesting mode which takes number if different shots and video with filters, crops and effects applied to it.

The right if the photo mode is the Video option. It is fairly self-explanatory, and more where you will find a range of various shorting options. It includes Night mode, Live focus,  and Food. The pro mode is interesting and for the advanced photography.

This pro mode is something we have sewn before in other Samsung devices. You can control ISO, autofocus mode, shutter speed,  white balance. We can make adjustments on settings such as Temperature, Highlights, contrast. You can only use the main/standard lens with pro mode.  You can't use the ultra wide angle or the telephoto lens. The Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra can record raw format images which can be good news for those who like to edit their shots in software like Photoshop.

Going back to the video mode you have got a fairly simple set up. We can change the aspect ration . We can easily switch on 8K recording from the top of the screen as well as turning stabilisation. Advantage of shorting in 8K is we can extract stills after shooting. It is helpful when users want to photograph a moving subject and think you might otherwise miss the shot. For extracting the still you need to play back the video and press the capture icon.

Night mode on it is something that will automatically activate if you are shooting in standard photography mode. We can also switch it on from the 'More' section. The phone in this made will automatically decide how long it needs to shoot for depending on how dark it is. It takes a number of exposures over the given period and blend them altogether to create the effect of a long exposure.
